AUTO BODY TECHNICIAN APPRENTICE
Disbrowe Cadillac Ltd. all makes and models Collision Centre located in St. Thomas, Ontario is actively seeking a hard working team player with interest in becoming a body shop apprentice. This is an amazing opportunity to join our collision team and take your development and career to the next level.
Duties would include:
- Tear down and reassembly
- File, grind, sand, apply body fillers, primers
- Wet sand and polish
- Masking
- Ability to read estimates, and write and understand work orders
- Knowledge of body shop equipment usage and safety requirements
- Detail inside and out ON finished vehicles to assist vehicle detailing dept.
- Keep clean, organized and safe work environment
- The ideal candidate would have experience in the following areas:
- Must be reliable, hard working with a keen interest to learn
- Valid drivers license G with a clean driving record
- Ability to bend, lift, twist in a positive well equipped working environment
- Prep/bodywork/painting is a definite asset with attention to quality and detail
- Ability to meet time commitments, with focus ON customer satisfaction
- Has good time management and organizational skills
- A team player with the ability to work well independently

AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC/TECHNICIAN

The ideal candidate would have experience in the following areas:
- GM or other dealership experience an asset but not required
- Any specialty training, diesel and/or transmission experience would be an asset
- Ability to work independently, and as a team player
- Individuals should have a passion for quality workmanship and customer satisfaction

Disbrowe Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac Ltd. is a family owned and operated business in St Thomas offering all GM brands with a great team that delivers one stop shopping for all of our automotive needs. We are looking for a Vehicle Detailer to add to our body shop team. The best candidate you be an enthusiastic individual who enjoys cleaning vehicles with attention to detail. The ideal candidate would possess great customer service and have the ability to work independently within a team environment. The ability to multitask and be organized to get the jobs done efficiently to meet time commitments with excellent quality is essential to the job.
Duties would include: checking in new vehicles, used vehicle reconditioning, customer new and used vehicle deliveries, customer details, taking pictures of lot vehicles for the website and assisting with other dealership maintenance duties. On the job training would include proper techniques for hand washing, chamois vehicles, vacuuming, shampooing including stain removal, engine degreasing, polishing, tire dressing, odour removal , paint sealant and fabric guard applications.
The base rate for this job ranges based on experience and the range of pay is between $15-$17/hr depending on performance as there is an opportunity for a productivity bonus or flat rate pay. Hours would be full-time ranging from 30-44 hours per week depending on the volume of business.
